This 7-day pilgrimage retraces the legendary path of the Ramayana, connecting the sacred sites and ancient landscapes where history and mythology converge. Moving from the northern temples of Chilaw and Mannar to the mist-clad mountains of Nuwara Eliya, you will walk the hallowed grounds of the Sita Amman Temple and visit the site of the Divurumpola ordeal. The journey leads you through the dramatic Ravana Falls and the lush highlands, exploring the caves and peaks that defined this epic tale. Day 01 — Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport / Transfer to Chilaw / Visit sacred Ramayana sites including Munneswaram Temple, Manavari Temple, and Punchi Kataragama Temple / Overnight in Chilaw

Your spiritual quest begins in Chilaw, exploring the Munneswaram and Manavari Temples, where legend says Lord Rama sought atonement and installed the first Lingam.

Day 02 — Drive to Sigiriya / Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Cobra Rock (Ramayana-linked site) / Overnight in Sigiriya or Dambulla

Ascend the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress and visit the Cobra Hood Cave, believed to be one of the places where Ravana held Seetha captive.

Day 03 — Drive to Trincomalee / Visit Koneswaram Temple and Kanniya Hot Springs (Ramayana sites) / Overnight in Trincomalee.

Travel to the eastern coast to Koneswaram Temple, built by Rishi Agastya on the instructions of Lord Shiva, and visit the Kanniya Hot Springs, created by Ravana for his mother’s funeral rites.

Day 04 — Scenic drive to Kandy / Visit the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic / Continue to Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple en route / Overnight in Kandy

As you transition to the hill country, stop at the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple, where Hanuman is said to have searched for Seetha, before arriving at the sacred Temple of the Tooth.

Day 05 — Drive through scenic hill country to Nuwara Eliya / Visit Seetha Amman Temple, Hakgala Botanical Garden (Ashok Vatika), and Gayathri Temple / Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

Deepen your connection to the epic at the Seetha Amman Temple and the Ashok Vatika (Hakgala Botanical Garden), where Seetha spent her days in captivity, praying for Rama.

Day 06 — Drive to Ella / Visit Ravana Falls and Ravana Cave / Continue to Kataragama to visit the sacred Kataragama Temple / Overnight in Kataragama or nearby southern coast

Explore the legendary Ravana Cave and Falls in Ella before visiting the multi-faith Kataragama Temple, a site of immense spiritual power and ancient ritual.

Day 07 — Drive toward Colombo / Stop at Ussangoda National Park (Ramayana-related site) / Visit historic Galle Fort / Continue to Bandaranaike International Airport / Departure.

Visit the scorched red landscape of Ussangoda, believed to be the landing site of Ravana’s peacock chariot, before a final stroll through Galle Fort and your departure.
